If you want to join DeVia and her friends adventuring in the Living City of Ravens Bluff, you will want to be prepared. First you will want to check out the RPGA Calendar of Events to find out where living city activities are happening in your area. Then you will want to come prepared with some or all of the equipment listed here.

Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook v3.5
Everyone will want their own copy of this book. You are nobody in the world until you are somebody using these core rules. You only need two things to be a player. This book, and dice. The rest is just icing on the cake.

Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master's Guide v3.5
Some players will want this book, for the prestige classes it outlines, others may never need it. If you plan to run the game as a judge, you need it.

Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
This is where it all happens, in the Forgotten Realms. If you are planning to play in other settings, there are different source books. Ravens Bluff is part of the Forgotten Realms.

Magic of Faerun
There are new prestige classes here along with all sorts of new spells and stuff. If you want to sling magic in Faerun, you'll want to at least read this book.

Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual v3.5
It is nice to sometimes know what you are up against. At other times it can be a curse to know what you should fear. There are Many monsters contained in this tome. Most can kill you. You need this book if you are going to judge. Players do not necessarily need it, but it is a good resource for many spell effects as well.

Monster Compendium: Monsters of Faerun
Fearun is the world of the Forgotten Realms. These are creatures specific to that setting.

Fiend Folio
This book contains still more creepy critters and menacing monsters.

Dungeons and Dragons Player Character Record Sheets
I do not find these useful at all, but many do. There are several different types. I do suggest you copy them before using them since there is only one of each type.

I just wanted everyone to know these were available. Now that you know, go here and download what you need. You can't download the other stuff though. Just sheets of your choice.

Dungeons and Dragons Hero Builder's Guidebook
Some people really like this sort of supplement. I am not one of them, but I admit that there is a lot of good information to be gleaned from this book.

Sword and Fist: A Guidebook to Fighters and Monk
Much of what you will find in this supplement is fine for use in the Living City. There are a few exceptions which are noted in the official guidelines for RPGA play.

If you do plan to use this supplemental material, you must bring an original copy of this book to the gaming table.

Defenders of the Faith: A Guidebook to Clerics and Paladins
This is another good supplemental book. you will want to check the RPGA Living City guidelines to make sure what you want to use from this source is all right.

If you do plan to use this supplemental material, you must bring an original copy of this book to the gaming table.

Tome and Blood: A Guidebook to Wizards and Sorcerers
This is yet another supplemental book that can give a lot of ideas and specifics.

If you do plan to use this supplemental material, you must bring an original copy of this book to the gaming table.

Arms and Equipment Guide
Well now that you know all about your world and the dangers it contains, you might want to stock up on some things to protect you as you venture forth into the fray.

d20 System Dice
No gamer should ever show up without dice. You will want to purchase several sets and put them in a big bag. While many gamers will share dice, it is poor form to expect others to share. There are a lot of superstitious rituals concerning dice rolling. Just bring your own, and no one gets hurt. (seriously)
